Drafted with the assistance of <a title=\"Wordsmith Associates\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wordsmithassociates.com\/services_style.html\">Wordsmith Associates Communications Consultants Inc<\/a>., the guide&#8217;s goal is to make sure that all stakeholders &#8211; investors, public-company management and directors, brokers, and the like &#8211; easily understand the Commission&#8217;s written prose. Although it is an in-house style guide, we&#8217;ve found it useful in a numerous other workplace environments as well as in the classroom. Its sections on planning, designing, and writing professional text are uniformly lucid and helpful. <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nocontest.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/plainstyle1.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-165\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nocontest.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/plainstyle1-300x225.jpg?resize=300%2C225\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nocontest.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/plainstyle1.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nocontest.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/plainstyle1.jpg?w=653&amp;ssl=1 653w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;plain style&#8221; is also making in-roads in some literary criticism.
